How do I use a diffuser to give my wavy hair defined waves without giving it frizzes?

I'm asian with long thick wavy hair. It gets frizzy when I blowdry it so I avoid doing so. I just let my hair dry naturally but still it isn't really drying the way that I want it to. I heard there's this tool out there called diffuser out there. I wanted to get it but wanted to see if it's worth it before I go out and get it. How can I use the diffuser to get defined waves without getting all the frizzes? Also, if my hair is wavy, should I go for shampoo that is designed for curly hair? Oh and what kind of shampoo is good for the hair? I heard alcohol-free shampoo is good but not exaclty sure which brand to go for. Thanks in advance!

A good moisturizing shampoo and separate conditioner is good. Even if the shampoo has conditioner, still do a separate conditioner. For your frizzies there are serums specifically for frizzies. Also a light weight mousse would be good as well.

I have given this advice before and have had thank-yous coming back to me. Buy yourself some glycerin at the drugstore. It's about $3 a bottle and is the main ingredient in all your "Frizz-free" products that can cost you way much more.

A dime-sized drop on your hand, rub your hands together, then apply to your damp hair all over starting at the roots, comb through. You will have waves, no frizz, and lots of shine....Good Luck!

FX Silk Drops. You can get it at Walgreens, CVS, etc.

Does anyone know of any ethnic looking asian male models?

I'm looking for pictures of an ethnic male model that is somewhat asian. Ethnic meaning full lips, mixed, and so forth. I can't remember the name of the male model I saw in a runway show. He had closely trimmed hair, almond shaped eyes, high cheek bones, copper skin, medium nose, and full lips. If anyone has pictures of ethnic male models please fell free to post. I'm having a hard time finding male models on runway in general. Thanks.

You should ask that old guy from Conan O'Brien

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

sometimes i like mines, other times i hate mines. i hate the stares and the comments. it is growing, just not fast enough, and it takes a lot of conditioner and styling products to get it to act right. i also have a hard time sometimes looking at myself in the mirror. i would look so much better if i permed it, but i know the chemicals aren't good for me. i also know straightening it everyday is not good for me. the only nice comments i get are from people who aren't black, like white, or asian, or my parents. lol. but yeah do you have to keep convincing yourself your hair will grow long and you are beautiful with your natural hair, sometimes its so hard to get used to, and i'm 2 years without a perm.

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

Maybe you need to find some products that work for you. Not every product works for everybody. Sometimes you just gotta let the comments roll off your back. Shake them haters off. lol. It's hard for Black ppl to think their/our hair is beautiful because of our history, but no matter what anybody says, your hair is beautiful. And if you stop concentrating on the growth, the next thing you know, your hair will be soooo much longer.

Now to answer your question, I LOVE MY HAIR!!!!!!! I don't hate it, but sometimes I get sick of the amount of hair I have and want to get it cut. But I haven't cut it, so it's all good.

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

Mine grows like wild fire it Long silky shiny and thick and i just use normal shampoo

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

sweetheart it takes years to appreciate what you've got I've been grey now for at least 10 years but my wife still loves me and that's good enough for me to keep looking in the mirror....

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

My mom made me go natural after she chopped off a good 2 inches of perm out of my head. i thought i was going to die so i went through the fro phase, then the hot comb, wigs, and two strand twists. i went two years. I always said i hate my hair natural cause it was thick so i finally got a relaxer ,after i got it i cried because my hair felt so thin and unhealthy. so im going to get another relaxer to see how i like it because my hair is longer, put a little color in it and if i dont like it i will chop it off.

White people are always the ones to say Hey i like your hair or they tell me i should get dreads :(

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

when it grows out, you'll love it! all those beautiful, healthy, springy ringletts. i really don't understand why there is such a big deal with african american hair! it's just very curly, and there's nothing wrong with that. i have really course, tight, frizzy curls with lots of unwanted volume and had relaxers before and i'm trying to grow mine out, because i'm really starting to miss my curls.

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

So i'm not the only one who has thought the same about her natural hair then?!

Even though i'm black,i'm very light skinned(not mixed!) and my hair is an in-between of afro(when washed) and 70% straight(without straightening iron's) the rest of the time.

Though my hair texture has changed as i've got older,i realise i have great hair quality,as it's very light brown, kind of curly in parts and compare to most black peoples hair, very easy to manage when you know how!(Though i do have frustrating times when it's washed!)

It's very fly-away hair and is quite long(past my shoulder's)

Though i love it now,it was different as a child.......

It was darker in colour and the texture was completly different to what it is now.

I hated it!,

My Mum,alway's kept it looking good,so i was lucky, but i alway's wished it was easy to combe like my white mates.

Use to find it annoying when they would try and put there dirty hand's in it to feel it and say;"It's like cotton wool"(what did they exspect?...wire wool..perhaps?!)

When i was in my teen's i did think,(on many occasin's) of getting it curly permed like my Mum's at the time as i saw how easy it was for her to style it.But thought it through and realised it would damage it in the long run,so i didn't.

Since my teen's,and now(27) it has changed allot, and without any colouring or perming solution's, in it ever,........i'm glad!

I wouldn't have all the naturel curl's and waves i have now.....cause they would have been "bon out" with chemicals!

Stay naturel,........it doesn't cost any money,just a good shampoo/conditioner/and hair mayonaise treatment everytime it's washed-that's what i do.

I oil the scalp(when washed) and plait it everynight without fail.

It look's healthy,and i alway's get comment's about.

Best decision ever!

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

that's weird, my hair grows at the same rate it did when i had a relaxer. the growth actually shows more since im nnot doing that much to it to cause it to break off. i love how my natural hair looks, and no it's not because i have a loose curl pattern, my hair is the kinky type and i love that about it. maybe you are just one of those people who prefer to have the look of striaght hair and does not feel that natural hair is beautiful. Also, i find that i need more products to make my relaxed hair act right, than i need to use to make my natural hair texture "act right"

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

I absolutely love my natural hair. I made the mistake of relaxing it for my (ex) fiancee and hated it relaxed the entire time. I'm back to all natural and i love it. I'll probably never even consider relaxing it again. If i want it straight i'll probably just get it pressed

How do the natural haired sistahs feel about their natural hair?

i love my afro natural hair

Anyone got any other hairstyling tips, other than a ponytail and braid for long hair, and what colou

I have naturally frizzy long black hair, beyond the shoulder line, with a round chubby face and a big forehead, so I rebonded and dye it with two highlights - reddish brown and a yellowish brown (hard to imagine the colours i know, just take it as reddish brown overall).

I always keep my hair straight down, not tying it up in a ponytail or clip unless it's hot. I also side parted my hair to my right side, I don't do center parting any more, because there's a little bald line in the middle of my head. I have yellowish asian skin.

But my friends here have really nice hairstyles, looking so japanesy, when they outgrew their short hair. I feel bored with long hair, any ideas on what to dye my hair? (I will feel dam sad if I chop off my hair like that, cus it's been long for 10 years, but if short hair makes me look good why not?)

Anyone got any other hairstyling tips, other than a ponytail and braid for long hair, and what colour to dye?

Go to google and look at celebrity's hairstyles like Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan. Just don't pull a Brittany spears and shave it all off! haha. Paris does this thing where her hair pooches up in top of the head, it looks cutie. As for color try Brown hair or even a strawberry blond! Good luck!

Anyone got any other hairstyling tips, other than a ponytail and braid for long hair, and what colour to dye?

Go a little at a time when cutting it so it's not too drastic and you can change your mind

Anyone got any other hairstyling tips, other than a ponytail and braid for long hair, and what colour to dye?

Why don't you try bangs? You don't have to get blunt, straight bangs. You could get longer bangs that you put to the side. That usually makes a big difference in how you look.

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

Unlike other Asian girls blessed with great hair, mine is dry, frizzy and dull. (I have thick hair by the way) I tried a lot of products and none of them seem to work. Any tips/suggestions, please?

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

As far as products go, Sabino Moisture block is EXCELLENT!!! (Look at any customer review, they'll tell you the same.) This stuff is a serum you work into your hair after you shampoo, and you can use it to keep curls from frizzing, straighten with a blow drier or flat iron, etc....

....But here's the thing that separates this from all the other products! It is NOT WATER SOLUBLE!!! You could go out in fog, rain showers, 100% humidity, even swimming (bonus-protects against chlorine damage) and your hair will NOT FRIZZ. I swear to god. My city is like an oven in summer from the humidity, and i've gotten caught in a few storms, and my hair never poofs at all. Ever! And this is the only thing I put into my super, super curly and frizz prone hair!

Also, it has no alchohol. And your hair always looks smooth, supple and shiny because it locks moisture into your hair. With that extra moisture, you can use a nice ceramic flat iron ( I use the FHI Platform--it's cheaper than the CHI and works much, much better ) and touch up your hair EVERY DAY with VIRTUALLY NO DAMAGE! (and if anyone's hair would be damaged by that, it's mine...i've bleached it to within an inch of it's life)

I've spent a fortune on other products to help with my frizzy hair, to straighten it, and this does cost about $20 but a little goes a looong way. I use it three times a week on my shoulder length hair and the bottle lasts me 3-4 months.

Bottom line, try it. You definately won't be dissapopinted.

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

Ceramic hair straightners work like a charm on everybody.. plus some product like the serum from john freida. yes, it WILL fry up your hair on the long run but that's the price u gotta pay

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

I said this on another question...

Try dove shampoo and conditioner, it works wonders.

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

I believe that curly hair just wants to fall in the direction it is growing, so I add conditioning products and wear my hair curly- it looks natural and healthy.

However, big hot rollers help and the results are great leaving your hair wavy and soft with no frizz.

Plus, hot rollers aren't as damaging as the hair dryer or harsh straightening solutions. (use a small amount ot setting solution, too much will weigh it down and feel sticky)

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

Do this once a week:

mix 1 cup coconut oit, half cup castor oil, and then take one full table spoon of melted butter(without salt) and mix it well. then massage with this oil mixture into your hair and leave it for over night . then wash your hair with any good brand of shampoo like Dove , Finesse etc. dont forget to use a good conditioner ,after shampoo.

Also protect your hair from sunlight and dust. keep them cover with scarf.

DO THIS ONCE A MONTH:

take a cup mayonnaise and apply it all over your hair and leave them for one hour. take a towel and dip it into hot water. squeeze it and cover your hair with it.leave it for half and hour more. then wash your hair.

your hair will be sooooooooo smoooooth.

good luck !!!!!!!

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

My natural hair color is black. I first put L'Oreal Preference color all over my hair. I applied the shade Gold Brown (the one which is for dark hair only) it looked good. Then on the same day i applied L'Oreal Frost and Design Highlighting(Caramel color) and did highlights. Its a disaster.those highlighted strands are yellowish gold with a reddish tinge. Its looking very wierd and not suiting me at all(I am an asian).I dont know what i can do? I need to fix it somehow. Please help me with all the options available. I am also concerned with the health of my hair , but i guess its too late for that but i cant step out of my house without fixing this. Also the highlights are also very bold and all over ... so its a lot of hair which has turned into a wierd color. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

ok go to your local pro stylist and get some good advice she/he should knw what to do you are not the only one

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

ummm.......i think you should just buy brown and black together and thats all....nothing else

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

you can go to a hairstylist and they can fix it from there.

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

get black dye and re-dye it the normal color...ask someone to buy it for you if you dont wanna leave the house...in a few weeks, dye it back to GoLd BrOwN and KEEP IT THAT COLOR!!!

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

Did you use bleach or peroxide? Did you strip the color form your hair? If not you can just buy black and go back to your normal color with no problem. Or if you just wait a little while it will probably kind of fade away and then you can see what you can do from there. It may not be so bad. But if you have the money and the time, GO TO A SALON! They can fix it for sure! Good luck!

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

your just going to have to go to your hairdresser

its gonna cost a fair bit(im sorry)

they'll just remove the dye from your hair

i think you should have waited to do the highlights to be honest.

well at the end of the day at least you've learnt something :)

Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

Well hun the volume of peroxide in those kits are not very high and you may not have processed them long enough either go to a salon or re highlight the highlights again you can do this but be careful and watch it you can fry your hair if your nor careful

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattracti

Are asian women just uglier than Asian guys?maybe its the dark hair high cheek bone thing, it suits guys more than girls.

It seems its very easy for asian male to find gf but no one wants to date asian girl

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

I don't know where you live, but I've seen some beautiful Asian women where I live. What facts are you basing your question on??

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

i think both asian guys and girls are ugly! that's my opinion! Report It

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

Its the other way around.

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

I thought it was the other way round

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

i have never heard of this "consideration"

personally, i think most asian guys are ugly. asian girls are way cuter.

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

excuse me?

that's gay.

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

It's just the opposite guy....

Most people seem overlook asian men..

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

i always thought that it was the other way around

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

You must be kidding.

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

ASIAN MEN ARE THE BEST

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

Really? No offence if you are asian...but asian women are beautiful...asian men, not so much. I think you have it backwards! I personally have never been attracted to an asian man, neither have any of my girlfriends. My guy friends think asian girls are hot stuff!

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

Excuse me? Where are you getting your information from anyway? Asian women are some of the most beautiful women in the world.

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

You have it backwards. I'm not saying that ladies don't like asian guys, but most guys think asian girls are pretty smoking hot. Well, at least white guys do.

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

Sweetheart, it's the other way around!

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

huh? I thought it was the other way around.

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

Some Asian guys have very buff bodies and that's a turn on. That's one reason they might be considered hot. I do see pretty Asian girls, and they turn the heads of every male who passes. I really don't think I've ever seen an ugly Asian girl.. For one thing, they always seem to laughing and smiling.. and how anyone be ugly when doing that?

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

yeah i don't agree with you at all

especially about the guys being attractive

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

where i live it is exactly the opposite

the Asian guys here are all dweebs with 4.8 GPAs and the Asian girls are taking all of the white boys

maybe though in your case it's because girls like something different and exotic

most of the time we are stuck with same old same old

and i've heard Asian guys are more respectable

Why are Asian men considered so hot and desirable but Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

I think u mean the other way around
