How do I get my hair to be less Frizzy and less Dry?

Hi everyone, hopefully you could answer a few questions I got, I'm not the best hair expert or anything.

I got straight dark hair (I'm of asian ethnicity if that helps) and Personally I love my hair when it gets greesy and oily. When it gets like that it usually is more healthy looking, and wavy.

But the cons of this, is not cleaning hair for 3 days (I know its gross) and the odor it produces from your oils.

When I take showers though, I use shampoo and conditioner, trying to get the oily greesy effect (but clean!) but after I get out, and dry with a towel my hair seems to dry frizzy, dry, and less healthly greesy like. Is it because I take hot showers? Is it because I don't comb my hair? If I don't take a shower for days, I tend to notice my hair is solid, and no individual hairs stick and puff out. But when I take a shower and dry up, my hair gets so dry and poofy.

thanks in advance.

You may well want to keep your hair long, but don't forget to get it trimmed regularly. Although you can use as much conditioner as you can pack into your cuticles, its important you drink plenty of water too. Brushing and combing your hair, will spread the hairs natural sebum (grease) down the hair shaft. Hot water is likely to produce more grease, whereas a cooler water rinse will encourage the hair to shine.

When you say towel dry your hair, never rub it, only ever wrap it gently and blot the excess moisture out. If you must use a hairdryer and styling aids, use a protective spray in condition first. Just a little mousse applied in damp hair and left to dry naturally will prevent it from drying out further.

There is a product by Treseme, some pearls, and spreading one of these through your fresh clean hair will help enormously. it smells great too.

Try John Freida Frizz control, I have friends of Asian descent and they use it.

i have the same problem... find a shampoo and conditioner for frizz control I use, fuctis:frizz control, or sometimes bedhead: frizz control and straitner. ask your hair dresser if she/he knows any shine/ frizz control serums... good luck

Try frizz ease products from john frieda or try a shine serum. Garnier Fructis make a yummy smelling leave in conditioner and do not blow dry your hair. If you do decide to blow dry try a heat tamer from nexxus or tresemme, you just spritz your hair a few times before blow drying and it conditions for you too, Maybe you are using the wrong shampoo and conditioner, make sure you are using a conditioner for dry/damaged hair and a shampoo for deep cleansing. Also get a trim every 6-weeks. trimming just 1/2 an inch off will make your hair look healthier. Good luck!

You should wash your hair in warm water first then rinse it in cool water this will close the hair cuticals and stop it from getting as greasy.
