I am 14, asian ... and I have short hair. For it to be the length that I wanted, it needs five more inches.
How long would it take for me to grow 5 inches of hair? And also, what is the vitamin (is it B6 or B7?) that helps hair grow faster?
Thanks!

I don't know the vitamin that helps it grow, but i do know that hair grows 1/2 an inch a month. That means it will take about 10 months for your hair to grow 5 inches. If a vitamin really does make your hair grow faster, it wouldn't be by a lot and may only take 8-9 months to grow 5 inches.

I agree with Audra. It's a painfully slow 1/2 an inch a month on average, and no vitamin is going to make a difference.
Having said that, however, hair growth depends on how well you take care of yourself, so if you are lacking vitamins, it can effect your hair. Eat healthy, and you'll have a good head of it.
You're lucky that you're Asian... you can likely grow it without having to worry about snipping off frayed ends that your jealous friends with wavy hair would likely get. Even if it means an extra month of growing it into perfection though, it would be a good idea to get wee trim to keep it shaped well.
Good luck!

it would probably take about 10 months. hair grows 1/2 in. each month. getting trims about every 2 or 3 months to get the split ends off is a good idea to keep your hair healthy and prevent it from slowly growing.

It will take ten months. Hair grows about half an inch a month, six inches a year. No vitamin or anything else will make hair grow faster.
