i'm asian (from singapore), i have very dark black hair and want to get some blonde highlights..good idea? bad idea? your thoughts plzz :)

No, asians with blonde hair are really gross. If you're going for highlights I think you should find a colour that suits your skin. You wouldn't want to end up looking like an Ah Lian or a Minah. ;)

Just pick a shade that will compliment your skin tone , and eye color ..

there are alot of Asian owned beauty Salons that cater to Asian women , who especificaly want to lighten their hair.

but you will have to willing to do touch ups on the roots..

seek out the upscale beauty salons ( Asian owned ).

they can also recommend good shampoo's and aftercare products, for your new hair color or highlighted hair ..

you can also try Carltons hair salon , they have different hair color experts .. many malls have these salons..
