I would recommend you try one of the hair colors for Dark Hair Only, they sell them at Sally beauty supply. They have a nice range of reds, so you most likely will be able to find the shade you like. If you can find one in the shade you want, you won't have to bleach it out and damage your hair as much as bleach does. These colors are made specifically to go on dark hair. I used one of their reds on my sister, who has natural black hair, and it came out well without having to pre-lighten it. I would probably go for the darker red shades, but thats just my opinion cause I don't like the natural orange-ish shades of red, but whatever shade you choose will probably look good.

Im thinking about dyeing my hair black with blue tint, hence the title. the thing is , im asian and i have black hair naturally. so if i dye it, it wont really show, right? atleast thats what i heard from my friend. so do i need to bleach my hair or something? THEN dye it black/blue? i dont know what to do. i want to dye it at home because im kind of broke, and my mom wont pay for salon because its 'waste of money'. maybe it is, but i dont really care, i want to do this. so how do i dye my hair black with blue tint? like jet black with blue shine? i dont want it to be TOO blue, cuz it'll look weird. from my experience (which is a lot I die my hair ALOT alot of colors and friends tooo!) It will show your hair is black but its not the same black as the blueblack in boxes. ITs browner by comparision.

Also! Do NOT! Bleach your hair it will turn it orange, and then you wont get the color you want! Also, you can always try and fix it. Its just hair!

ooh don't bleach your hair. Those jet black colors will make your hair have a blue tint. I'm sure it will show up. Leave it on your hair longer than suggested..maybe 10 minutes longer.

What ever you do don't bleach it!!! You can put the black on there, you would see a slight color in certain light. I would see if you could find it a semi-permemant color. It will wash out after a few weeks and you can try something different or try a permenant hair color.

I think it will definitely work for you! That's a great cut for someone which a round face, especially with the side-swept bangs. The only thing I'd suggest is getting the longest layer cut a bit longer than the picture shows. But thats just a personal opinion :)

If you have more of a round face, you need something that is more off and away from face, something maybe with a little more volume on the top of your head but nothing with your hair laying too close to your face. I have the same problem with hair styles (round face) and not knowing what will look good. These are the suggestions that my hairdresser gave me and it really works, because it takes away the roundness in your face and focuses it someplace else

yes, it would probably make ur face look thinner. im not asian, im hispanic and i have a hair-cut kind of like that, it makes me look thinner around the face and friendlier (sp?). i think it would look great on any asian girl or hispanic looking girl with medium skin. oh, and redish mixed in with dark brown or blackish hair would look good with that hair-cut.

I have naturally frizzy long black hair, beyond the shoulder line, with a round chubby face and a big forehead, so I rebonded and dye it with two highlights - reddish brown and a yellowish brown (hard to imagine the colours i know, just take it as reddish brown overall).

I always keep my hair straight down, not tying it up in a ponytail or clip unless it's hot. I also side parted my hair to my right side, I don't do center parting any more, because there's a little bald line in the middle of my head. I have yellowish asian skin.

But my friends here have really nice hairstyles, looking so japanesy, when they outgrew their short hair. I feel bored with long hair, any ideas on what to dye my hair? (I will feel dam sad if I chop off my hair like that, cus it's been long for 10 years, but if short hair makes me look good why not?)

Go to google and look at celebrity's hairstyles like Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan. Just don't pull a Brittany spears and shave it all off! haha. Paris does this thing where her hair pooches up in top of the head, it looks cutie. As for color try Brown hair or even a strawberry blond! Good luck!

Why don't you try bangs? You don't have to get blunt, straight bangs. You could get longer bangs that you put to the side. That usually makes a big difference in how you look.

I don't know the vitamin that helps it grow, but i do know that hair grows 1/2 an inch a month. That means it will take about 10 months for your hair to grow 5 inches. If a vitamin really does make your hair grow faster, it wouldn't be by a lot and may only take 8-9 months to grow 5 inches.

I agree with Audra. It's a painfully slow 1/2 an inch a month on average, and no vitamin is going to make a difference.

Having said that, however, hair growth depends on how well you take care of yourself, so if you are lacking vitamins, it can effect your hair. Eat healthy, and you'll have a good head of it.

You're lucky that you're Asian... you can likely grow it without having to worry about snipping off frayed ends that your jealous friends with wavy hair would likely get. Even if it means an extra month of growing it into perfection though, it would be a good idea to get wee trim to keep it shaped well.
